Georg Jensen

The philosophy of the eponymous silversmith, Georg Jensen, is to create innovative designs that are both beautiful and functional. Georg Jensen grew up near the forest and the lakes, just north of Copenhagen. Nature was his main source of inspiration. The symbols of the natural world are the common thread of his creations: fruits, flowers, leaves and organic forms.

His other artistic skills, coupled with his lifelong ability to identify and support design talent, formed the basis on which he founded Georg Jensen in Copenhagen in 1904.
